Artist Statement
I am instinctive in my choice of materials, favouring mediums that allow for softness, depth and subtle variation. Pencil, paint and sculptural materials are used not only for their visual qualities, but for the way they respond to touch, erosion and time. Texture and tone play a central role, helping to create forms and spaces that feel both transient and enduring.
Through this process, I aim to create work that encourages slower looking and emotional reflection – spaces where viewers can consider their own place within cycles of growth, decay and renewal, and find meaning in what is often overlooked or unresolved.
